Trust & safety
Where the information comes from, how answers are checked and how your data is kept safe.
Where the academic information comes from
- Modules, credits, terms and topics come from each university’s official course pages, regulations and module catalogues for 2026/27. Each module links to its official page.
- Library notes, flashcards and questions were drafted from those outlines and standard academic sources, then checked in separate review passes against published sources (statutes, case law, textbooks, guidelines). Errors found were corrected.
- Unizy is independent. No university wrote, checked or endorsed this material.
How the tutor’s answers are checked
- The tutor is given your module’s official outline and the matching library notes, and told to answer from them.
- Every answer lists its sources underneath: the official module outline, the Unizy library note it used, your own notes, or general knowledge, shown in amber so you know to check it. Each answer links to the official module page.
- It’s instructed never to invent cases, statutes, studies, statistics or quotations, and to say when it’s unsure. It doesn’t give drug doses.
- Marking uses UK degree grade-band criteria and is practice guidance, not an official mark.
- The tutor can still be wrong, and answers aren’t checked by a person before you see them. Check important points against your lectures and reading. If you spot a mistake, use “Report a mistake” in the app and we’ll fix the library.
How your data is protected
- Accounts and saved work are stored in London (Supabase, eu-west-2). Database rules lock each account’s data to that account.
- No advertising, no tracking cookies, and we never sell your data. Site visits are counted as anonymous daily totals, with no cookies or IDs.
- Your notes are private. Nothing goes to a group chat unless you choose to share it, and you can remove what you’ve shared.
- Our model provider doesn’t use what you send through its API to train its models by default.
- Stripe handles payments; we never see your card details. You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Read the privacy policy
Using Unizy fairly. Unizy is for learning and practice. Check your university’s academic integrity rules, and don’t submit work written for you as your own.
